Woman, 2 children hurt in vehicle crash

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION — An accident Monday afternoon sent a woman and two children to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

According to West Virginia State Police Sgt. E.D. Anderson, Tammy Brode, of Shepherdstown, lost control of her vehicle due to wet roads, rolled over several times before striking an electric power pole. The accident occurred about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Ridge and Luther Jones roads north of Shenandoah Junction. According to police, no one in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt.
Brode and a 13-year-old boy were transported to Jefferson Memorial Hospital. An 11-year-old boy was partially ejected from the vehicle and transported to Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.
The driver could face charges pending a police investigation, police say. The West Virginia State Police is handling the investigation.
