Jefferson swim teams beat area squads

SHEPHERDSTOWN — On the weekend, Jefferson’s boys defeated Washington (60-31), Hampshire (71-20), and Brunswick (69-20). The Jefferson girls beat Washington (62-29), Hampshire (72-19), and Brunswick (68-17).

Simmons won the 100 backstroke and the 100 butterfly. It was deBuchananne winning both the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle. Wiercioch, Devin Forman, and David Orr won individual events for the Cougars.

Luisa Holland won the 500 freestyle and the 200 individual medley. Mia Holland won the 200 freestyle, Kaley Hoffman took the 100 butterfly, Destiny Hoffman the 100 breaststroke, and Jessica Dodson the 50 freestyle.
