BERKELEY SPRINGS — Jefferson finished ninth in the 14-team field that comprised the annual Max Horz wrestling tournament. The event was won by Loudoun County with 177.50 points. Handley was second with 157, followed by Independence (148) and James Wood (147).
Jefferson finished with 71 points and had its best finish from Chris Yenchko, who was the second-place wrestler at 152 pounds. Yenchko had a 3-1 record in his four matches in the two-day event.
Lane Harder was fourth at 285 pounds with a 2-2 record in the tournament. Levi Spickler was fourth at 138 and finished the tournament with a 3-2 record in his five matches over the two days. Sam Kosonavich was fifth at 106 and had a 2-2 record in the Horz.
