Jessica Andrea Pill and Ian Benn Gingold were united in marriage on June 2, 2012, at the Clarion Hotel in Shepherdstown.

The bride is the daughter of Richard Pill of Martinsburg and the late Linda Pill. The groom is the son of Dr. Glenn Gingold of Berkeley Springs and Linda Chavis of Charleston, S.C.

The Rev. Susan Taylor officiated the double-ring courtyard ceremony. The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory satin Maggie Sottero strapless fit and flare gown with a sweetheart neckline, crystal beadwork and a balloon hem train. Her veil featured crystal beadwork along the trim. She carried a bouquet featuring white callas, green roses, green berries and green spiders, wrapped in ivory ribbon.

Her bridesmaids were friends Megan Richards and Nicole Stocking; sisters, Shelly Cook, Shannon Gallo and Christy Pill; and niece, Amber Moats. All wore clover green short satin dresses in styles of their choosing. They carried bouquets of green hydrangea, spiders, eucalyptus and green berries, wrapped in clover ribbon.

The groom wore a black Calvin Klein tuxedo with a charcoal vest and an ivory tie, with a white calla and green hypericum boutonniere. His groomsmen were friends, Kwang Park and Paul May, and his brothers, Kevin Schwartz and Larry Schwartz. All wore black Calvin Klein tuxedos with black vests and clover ties.

The ring bearer was Nikolas Malone, nephew of the bride. He wore a black tuxedo with a clover bow tie. The ushers were Todd Butts, brother of the bride, and Paul Gallo, brother-in-law of the bride.

Readings were offered by Katie Pill, cousin of the bride, and Anne Kingery-Schwartz, sister-in-law of the groom.

A reception in the Clarion ballroom included a buffet dinner, photo booth and dancing. The five-tier cake made by Shepherdstown Sweet Shop had red velvet, marble and lemon layers, raspberry filling and cream cheese frosting.

The couple’s first dance was to Ben Harper’s “By My Side.” After a honeymoon through the Florida Keys and in Key West, Fla., the couple resides in Martinsburg.

The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at The Bavarian Inn. A bridal shower, given by the bridesmaids, was held at Blue Moon Cafe.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Hedgesville High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree in interior design from West Virginia University in 2008. She is employed as a legal assistant at Pill & Pill in Martinsburg.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Wheeler High School in Marietta, Ga. He earned a bachelor of science degree in business management from West Virginia University in 2004, and is pursuing an MBA from Shepherd University. He is employed as the branch manager of City National Bank in Charles Town.
