Package with dead bird left at home of W.Va. mayor
CHARLESTON (AP) — Charleston police are investigating why a package with a dead pigeon and note inside was left in the driveway of Mayor Danny Jones.
Jones found the package outside his home Friday morning. He then called police.
Sgt. Bobby Eggleton tells media outlets that the pigeon had been shot.
Jones says the note that accompanied the package was bizarre and made no sense.
