Musselman continues area dominance

Continuing its winning ways against area volleyball teams, Musselman posting a 3-0 win over Washington last week. The three game scores were 25-12, 25-13, and 25-13.

The Lady Applemen had long leads in winning the first two games. In the second game, the Patriots made inroads when Alycia Lambert was able to score while serving. Again in the third game, Washington was behind by five points after 32 total points had been scored. But Musselman had several service aces and moved on to its 12-point win in the final game.

The Patriots bounced back and stopped Hedgesville, 3-1, to improve their record to 10-8.

The game scores favoring Washington were 26-24, 25-23, and 25-23 with the Lady Eagles winning Game Two, 25-16.

Beata Leinhard had 11 kills and seven blocks, Emma Bryan had five service aces and 33 assists, Aliyah McCarthy was credited with 32 digs, while both Amanda Sosnicki and Christina Collins had four blocks in the tense, close, and evenly-played games.
