Spaghetti dinner: An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner will be held at New Street United Methodist Church in Shepherdstown Today from 5 to 7 p.m. Adults can eat for $7; ages 3 to 12 will be $4. Carry out will be available.


Gospel concert: Ruritan Fairgrounds in Clearbrook, Va. Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A free will offering will be collected. For questions, contact Augusta Williams at 540-667-8434.


Hymn sing: Millville Pentecostal Church will host a hymn sing starting at 6 p.m. Saturday featuring local singers and musicians. All are welcome. A freewill offering will be received. For questions, call 304-725-5155. Soups, salads and sandwiches will be available in the fellowship hall from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for a donation.


Harvest party: Asbury United Methodist Church in Charles Town will be hosting a Fall Harvest Party from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Call 304-725-5513 or visit for details. Asbury is asking all participants to bring a can of non-perishable food to help the local food bank and missions.


Church bazaar: Zion Episcopal Church in Charles Town Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For questions, call 304-725-5312.


Holiday bazaar: St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Charles Town Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come enjoy a large silent auction, homemade quilt raffle, crafts, delicious food and baked goods.


Pancake and sausage supper: Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church Nov. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. Pancakes, sausage, sausage gravy, syrup, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes applesauce, coffee, iced tea and soda will be on the menu. Adults are $7, children ages 6 to 12 are $3.50. Children under age 6 eat for free.


UMW fall bazaar: The Asbury United Methodist Woman will be holding a craft bazaar and luncheon Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature handmade crafts and homemade soups and sandwiches. Call 304-725-5513 or go to for more information.


New divorce program: Divorce Care will be meeting at the Asbury United Methodist Church starting Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. For details, contact Pastor Jensen at or call 304-725-5513. Pre-registration is encouraged.


Feeding students: The Caring Cupboard provides needy Jefferson County schoolchildren with shelf-stable foods on weekends and operates from the back entryway of Shepherdstown Lutheran Church’s parish house.

The church is seeking food and monetary donations, which may be dropped off at the Parish House, 110 N. King St., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday to Thursday or mailed to P.O. Box 2008 Shepherdstown, WV 25443.
