Breakfast fundraiser: Kabletown United Methodist Church will be having a pancake fundraiser breakfast Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The menu will include pancakes, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, coffee, orange juice, iced tea and milk. Soup and sandwich sale: The United Methodist Men will be having a soup and sandwich sale at Middleway United Methodist Church Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The group will be selling country ham sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches and sloppy Joes. Church fundraiser: The Summit Point United Methodist Men will be having a soup and sandwich fundraiser at Summit Point United Methodist Church Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eat in or takeout country ham sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, hotdogs, vegetable soup, bean soup, chili and chicken noodle soup. Spaghetti dinner: An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner will be held at New Street United Methodist Church in Shepherdstown Oct. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. Adults can eat for $7; ages 3 to 12 will be $4. Carry out will be available.

Feeding students: The Caring Cupboard provides needy Jefferson County schoolchildren with shelf-stable foods on weekends and operates from the back entryway of Shepherdstown Lutheran Church’s parish house.
The church is seeking food and monetary donations, which may be dropped off at the Parish House, 110 N. King St., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday to Thursday or mailed to P.O. Box 2008 Shepherdstown, WV 25443.
