FROSTBURG, Md. — Washington’s girls soccer team had goals from Brianna Hester, Devyn Hosby, and Natalie Adams as the Patriots blanked Altoona (Pa.) High, 3-0.
It was Washington defeating host Mountain Ridge, 2-1, to win the championship of the weekend event.
The decisive Washington goal came in the second half from Hester and pushed Washington into a one-goal lead it did not relinquish. Erin Buchanan was credited with an assist on Hester’s second-half goal.
The Patriots moved to 7-3-1 overall with their second win in two days.
