BERKELEY SPRINGS — Goals came in droves for the Jefferson girls as they drowned host Berkeley Springs, 9-0, in a girls soccer match.
High-scoring Rachel Ransom had four goals and Becca Colbert kept up her mid-season scoring antics with her three goals. Ransom even counted three goals in just a five-minute interval during the first half.
Carlie Watson gave the Jefferson side of the scoreboard two more goals.
Ellie Henderson and Shelbie Spencer shared the goalkeeper duties for the Lady Cougars.
On Friday, Jefferson raced past Sectional rival Hedgesville, 4-1, when Rachel Ransom had two goals and was credited with two assists on the goals from Jessica Shakesprere and Becca Colbert. Shakesprere had two assists in the win.
Jefferson goalkeeper Shelbie Spencer had six saves.
Jefferson was 8-3-0 overall.
