Eaton 2nd, Hacker-Kinnett

Shepherdstown residents Kim Eaton and Kim Hacker-Kinnett finished second and seventh in the recently completed West Virginia Women’s Amateur golf tournament played at the Berry Hill Country Club in Kanawha County.
Ona’s Brooke Bellomy fired rounds of 71, 73, and 73 (217) to outdistance Eaton (rounds of 74, 78, and 73) by eight strokes in winning the annual event.
Natalie Cooke (Vienna), Karyn Engel (Hurricane), Samantha DiDomenico (Follansbee), Caroline Ramsey (Bridgeport), and Hacker-Kinnett were next in line. Hacker-Kinnett had rounds of 83, 78, and 77 (238) to finish 21 strokes behind Bellomy.
