Charles Town-Ranson Seniors go 0-3

VIERA, Fla. — With consecutive losses to Dumfries-Triangle-Quantico, Va., Darlington, S.C., and Northwest T.N. the season ended in the Southeastern Regional for the Charles Town-Ranson Senior League team that represented the state of West Virginia as the division’s state champions.

The Southeastern Region started for Charles Town-Ranson with a 7-6 loss in eight innings to Dumfries-Triangle-Quantico. The northern Virginia team plated two runs in the seventh to send the game to extra innings where it won, 7-6, with another run.

Dylan MacIntosh, William Viands, Ben Rickards, and Jonas Myers all had RBIs for Charles Town-Ranson.

In its second game, Charles Town-Ranson fell, 5-1, to Darlington. Darlington pitching limited Charles Town-Ranson to just three hits while receiving 11 walks and a hit batsman from the Jefferson County pitchers.

Cody Reynolds had a triple that drove in the only run.

Northwest blanked Charles Town-Ranson, 4-0, as pitcher Adam Caver had a no-hitter through six innings. Caver fanned 12 in shutting down the Charles Town-Ranson offense.

Desmond Grimes had the only hit for Charles Town-Ranson.
