Celebrating new teachers

Alisha Bellamy, who will greet her class at Driswood Elementary today as the school year begins in Jefferson County, was among the raffle winners at last week’s luncheon in honor of the county’s new educators. The 50th annual event, put on by the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, was held Aug. 16 at the Moose Lodge in Ranson. American Public University was the major sponsor of this year’s luncheon.
