PAX (AP) — State police say the driver of a vehicle that hit and a killed a West Virginia Courtesy Patrol worker told investigators he fell asleep before the accident.
Police say the vehicle hit 59-year-old Wyatt H. Harris of Coal City as he was helping a stranded motorist on the West Virginia Turnpike.
The accident occurred around 2 a.m. Sunday near the Pax exit.
Police didn’t identify the driver.
