Shepherd softball signs eight
Eight softball players have signed with Shepherd. The players are Shannon Lyons (Jefferson High), an outfielder-first baseman-pitcher; Victoria Thompson, a pitcher-first baseman from Potomac State in Keyser; Kass Taylor, third baseman from Huntingtown High (Md.); and Katie Sprankle, a middle infielder from Mardela High (Md.).
The other four newest signees are Carly Schmidt, a catcher-third baseman-shortstop from Patrick Henry Community College in Virginia. She played at Heritage High; Hayley Kitts, a pitcher from Havre de Grace in Maryland; Desiree Joines, a pitcher-first baseman-outfielder from Kennard-Dale High (Pa.); and Maggie Gola, a third baseman from Greater Nanticoke High (Pa.).
