Local student to attend leadership conference
Charles Town Middle School student Austyn Ford was accepted to take part in the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. starting July 21. Ford was nominated by Christine Mann, a teacher at the school. The six-day conference, sponsored by the Congressional Youth Leadership Council, will introduce young people to the rich tradition of leadership throughout American history and help them develop their own leadership skills.
