Survivors honored at ‘Stomp Out Cancer’ charity event

Full ‘Steem Ahead, a life and career coaching business located in Martinsburg, held a charity event at the Shepherdstown Fire Hall on June 16, with proceeds being donating to the American Cancer Society.

Those attending enjoyed music from DJ Dream Team, Zumba by Lilianna, a “Dance for the Cure” competition, dunk tank and various other outdoor activities.

Delores Clark and Chris Page were presented with special awards during the ‘Stomp Out Cancer’ charity event.

A balloon launch was also held at 11 a.m. in honor of loved ones who are cancer survivors and those who have lost the battle. Special awards were presented to cancer survivors Chris Page and Delores Clarke.

“Chris’ courage and transparency throughout his battle with cancer has not only inspired me, but many others. He reminds us that it is not the situation that we find ourselves in, but how we respond to it that is most important,” said Teresa Holmes-Lindsey. “My Aunt Delores is currently in the heart of her battle with lung cancer,” said Tamarra Green-Lee. “In spite of it all, she still continues to smile, still continues to think of others.”

The next charity event sponsored by Full Steem will be a “purple passion” fashion show to benefit women of domestic violence. For questions, call 304-886-8777.
