Resort broke zip lining record
OAK HILL (AP) — Secretary of State Natalie Tennant says a Fayette County resort has broken a Guinness World Record for the most zip-liners in an hour.
Tennant was an official counter for Sunday’s event at ACE Adventure Resort. She says in a news release that the resort sent 184 people along a cable in an hour. The old record was 122 people sent on a rope slide by a German outfitter in the Black Forest in 2010.
ACE Adventure spokeswoman Beth Gill says the record-setting event was part of a celebration of an expansion of the resort’s zip line course.
