Connecting with young readers

Christine Miller Ford (above) and Rob Snyder fielded questions from students during the “Elect to Read” program on June 20 at the Old Charles Town Library. Ford, a writer and editor with the Spirit of Jefferson, and Snyder, the paper’s managing editor since late 2011, discussed the role the news media plays in elections. Charles Town Mayor Peggy Smith will be the special guest at today’s session. The free program continues at 2 p.m. on Wednesdays through August.
