SHENANDOAH JUNCTION— Rain was the only deterrent met by Jefferson’s boys tennis team when it defeated visiting Clarke County, 6-0, last Thursday on the home courts.

The Cougars won all six matches that could be completed before rain washed out the No. 2 doubles match.

In the four singles matches played, Jefferson’s Kyle Polczynski (No. 1), Devin Foreman (No. 2), Isaiah Washington (No. 3), and Isaac Washington (No. 4) were able to register wins.

Jefferson continued its all-winning ways on the afternoon when it picked up doubles wins from No. 1 unit Polcynzski/Foreman and No. 3 tandem Tyler Offutt/Catalino Leon.

The Washingtons had their doubles match washed away.

With Kyle Polczynski, Devin Foreman, Isaiah Washington, and Isaac Washington sweeping the four singles matches, Jefferson was off to a perfect start to its boys tennis match against visiting Massanutten Military Academy.

When Polczynski/Foreman, I. Washington/I. Washington, and Tyler Offutt/Carlos Nathan gave the Cougars wins in all the doubles matches, the Cougars had posted a 7-0 win over the private school Colonels from Woodstock, Va.
