Spuria, Sirbaugh, Littleton spark Patriots
Washington was able to post a convincing 6-1 win over homestanding Hedgesville in a girls tennis match played on Saturday.
The Patriots won three of the four singles matches played— Jill Spuria (No. 2), Melissa Sirbaugh (No. 3), and McKenzie Littleton (No. 4).
In sweeping all three doubles matches, Washington completed the afternoon’s success. Sirbaugh/Littleton (No. 1), Spuria/Jessica Fort (No. 2), and Amber Barr/Molly Banfield (No. 3) did the honors for the Patriots in the doubles matches.
