PVC selects all-league teams
The Potomac Valley Conference selected its all-conference basketball teams and coaches of the year. The boys first-team had Garrett Grantham and Josh Dudley of Jefferson, Tyrek Collier and Kendell Smith of Washington, Brandon Ashenfelter, Donte Grantham, and Jalen Lewis of league champion Martinsburg, Trevon Wesco and Tommy Hargrove of Musselman, and Q.J. Peterson, Chris Shields, and Juwan Powell of Hedgesville. Martinsburg’s Dave Rogers was the Coach of the Year.
Christian Coles and Dominique Newman of Washington and Aaron Stottlemyre and Michael King of Jefferson were placed on the nine-player second team.
The girls first-team had Amber Curry and Kenya Dozier of Washington, McKinley Thomas of Jefferson, Nichole Henderson and Brianna Caison of Muselman, Jasmyn Hosby and Kierra Basey of Martinsburg, and Kelsey Shaw, Bianca Creamer, and Carly Elliott from Hedgesville. Musselman’s Amanda Burge was the Coach of the Year.
