The Charleston Gazette newspaper released its latest high school baseball ratings for the state’s three classes.
The Class AAA leader is Hurricane with its 19-3 record. Musselman is ranked second followed by Fairmont Senior, Jefferson, St. Albans, and Logan to round out the top six.
Ranked seven-through 10 among the Class AAA schools are Bridgeport, Princeton, Nitro, and Morgantown. St. Albans has the state’s best record at 20-3.
Herbert Hoover is the No. 1-ranked Class AA team.
Ritchie County, Wyoming East, Petersburg, Point Pleasant, and Poca round out the top six. Completing the top 10 are Chapmanville, Wayne, Berkeley Springs, and Bluefield.
The No. 1 Class A team is Charleston Catholic followed by East Hardy, Moorefield, Bishop Donahue, and Weirton Madonna to finish off the top five. Ranked six-through-10 are Man, Williamstown, Valley Fayette, Gilmer County, Buffalo, and Cameron.
