SHEPHERDSTOWN— Shepherd softball pitcher Tiffany Biggs pitched both ends of a doubleheader the Lady Rams split with visiting Seton Hill last Friday.
The Griffins posted a 2-1 win in the opener of the WVIAC twinbill, while Biggs hurled an eight-hit shutout in the second game. She did not walk anybody and fanned three.
Jess Mason’s two-run triple was the key hit in Shepherd grabbing a 3-0 lead in the first inning of the nightcap.
Seton Hill trailed, 1-0, in the first game until it rallied for two runs in the seventh inning to pull out a one-run win. Taylor Marchozzi drove in one of the two last-inning runs.
Danielle Treaster was Seton Hill’s winning pitcher.
Biggs had a 16-8 record after getting a win and being charged with a loss in the doubleheader.
Shepherd was 31-22 overall and 18-8 in the WVIAC while the Griffins were 18-27 overall and 13-13 in the league. Shepherd completed its regular season with the split of two games against the Griffins.
