The 16 Big East conference coaches voted on all-conference teams. West Virginia forward Kevin Jones was placed on the six-player first team along with the Marquette twosome of Jae Crowder and Darius Johnson-Odom, Jeremy Lamb of Connecticut, Kris Joseph of Syracuse, and Jason Clark of Georgetown.
WVU senior forward Kevin Jones was an All-Big East pick.
Jones, a four-year starter at WVU, averaged 20.0 points and 11.2 rebounds a game for the entire 31-game regular season.
Jones’ figures were the best in the Big East in both scoring and rebounding.
The coach’s second-team selections were Sean Kilpatrick (Cincinnati), Jack Cooley (Notre Dame), Jordan Theodore (Seton Hall), Scoop Jardine (Syracuse), and Maalik Wayns (Villanova). The third-team includes Darryl Bryant (West Virginia), Vincent Council (Providence), Herbert Pope (Seton Hall), Dion Waiters (Syracuse), and Henry Sims (Georgetown).
The conference all-rookie team had Andre Drummond (Connecticut), Chane Behanan (Louisville), Jerian Grant (Notre Dame), LaDontae Henton (Providence), Moe Harkless (St. John’s), D’Angelo Harrison (St. John’s), and Anthony Collins (South Florida).
