Patriot girls blank Applemen

Washington added to what could become a long winning streak when its girl’s tennis team blanked visiting Musselman, 7-0. The singles winners in matches actually played came from Angela Pittinger, Melissa Sirbaugh, and Mackenzie Littleton. Jill Spuria was awarded a forfeit win in one of the singles matches.

The doubles teams of Pittinger/Sirbaugh (No. 1), Littleton/Spuria (No. 2), and Amber Barr/Molly Banfield (No. 3) were all winners. Washington was 2-1.

The Patriots encountered little resistance from Martinsburg when they posted a 7-0 decision over the Bulldogs.

The four singles wins came from Pittinger, Spuria, Sirbaugh, and Littleton.

Washington completed the sweep with its doubles wins from Pittinger/Spuria, Sirbaugh/Littleton, and Barr/Banfield.
