Paddy’s official opening set for St. Patrick’s Day

CHARLES TOWN – Though Paddy’s Irish Pub has been open since December, owner Pat Riley has saved his business’s grand opening for the perfect time: St. Patrick’s Day.

On Saturday, Riley will host special events at the restaurant/bar at 210 W. Liberty St., including beer and food deals, music from D.C.’s acoustic The Woodshedders and other bands, corn hole and dart tournaments, giveaways and more.

Paddy’s official ribbon cutting also happens this week. The ceremony with Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce officials happens at 2 p.m. on Friday.

Riley is a Jefferson County native whose other business is Jefferson Welding & Crane at 400 E. North St. in Charles Town.

Paddy’s opens for lunch at 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday and at 1 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, see its Facebook page or call the pub at 304-725-4999.
