Man injured in stabbing in Shepherdstown

SHEPHERDSTOWN — A 19-year old man was injured during a brawl early this morning at an eatery in Shepherdstown, according to a press release from the Shepherdstown Police Department.

Terrell Leonard, 19, of Natrona, Pa., was taken to Jefferson Memorial Hospital after being stabbed in his upper left arm inside Tony’s Pizza at 126 E. German St. at about 1 a.m. Friday.

Leonard, who had gone to the hospital before police arrived at the scene, told police the fight broke out after he was stabbed. His injury was not life-threatening, police said.

Three people were arrested in the incident and taken to Eastern Regional Jail in Martinsburg.

According to police, a Jefferson County deputy sheriff and a Shepherd University police officer also sustained minor injuries in the incident. Officers from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Shepherd University Police Department, and West Virginia Sate Police also responded.

The three suspects arrested in the incident have been identified by the Shepherdstown Police Department.

Morgan Anthony Muskelly, 21, has been charged with two counts of battery of a police officer, and one count each of obstructing, trespassing and destruction of property.

Trayvon Tarrell Hoy, 18, has been charged with one count each of disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Stephany Carolina Chavez, 21, has been charged with one count of disorderly conduct.
