A cappella choir to perform

The A Cappella Choir and college singers of Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, N.C., will present a concert on March 14 at 7 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 26 W. Boscawen St. in Winchester, Va.

Recovery program meets every Friday

Celebrate Recovery, a Christ-centered recovery program for men and women struggling with alcoholism, addictions, and other self-defeating behaviors, meets every Friday. Fellowship meal starts at 6:15 p.m., program at 7 − 8 p.m. and share groups from 8 − 9 p.m. Free childcare is provided. Call 540-668-6357 or visit for more information. Soup and sandwich sale Saturday

Wee Disciples open house March 13

Wee Disciples Christian Academy is having an open house for all families interested in kindergarten, first or second grades on Tuesday, March 13 from 6 − 8 p.m. Come meet the teachers, view the A Beka curriculum and learn more about the daily schedule, including spanish, computer lab, physical education, music, and art. Homeschoolers’ meeting slated March 19

Classical Conversations, which equips homeschooling parents to teach their children in the classical method, will host an information meeting on March 19 at 7 p.m. at Fellowship Bible Church, 160 Daniel Rd., Shenandoah Junction.

Classical Conversations combines classical learning with a Christian worldview. More details are available at, at the link “CC101.”

Easter week activities at Trinity Episcopal

A Seder dinner will be held on Maundy Thursday, April 5, at Trinity Episcopal Church, corner of Church and German Streets in Shepherdstown, beginning at 6 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $10 per person.

Following the Seder Dinner, there will be a service of Holy Eucharist and The Stripping of the Altar at 8 p.m. The Maundy Thursday through Good Friday vigil will start at the end of the service Thursday evening and continue until noon on Good Friday with the Prayer Book Liturgy being held at noon. The church will be open all day on Good Friday for prayer.

The church will have an Easter eve service beginning at 5 p.m. on April 7.

Easter services are at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. with Holy Eucharist, a sermon and Flowering of the Cross at each service. There will be an Easter egg hunt following the 10 a.m. service.
