CHARLES TOWN – Officials with the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce are hoping area business leaders can lend a hand as they instruct young people in money management.
The “Get a Life!” program, hosted by chamber volunteers and the West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office, will be offered March 20 to seventh-graders in Charles Town and Harpers Ferry.
Assigned details of his or her possible future as a 28-year-old with a high school diploma and a family, each student is asked to craft a family budget. For information on how to volunteer, call the chamber at 304.725.2055.
