Williams pushes win total to 103
HEDGESVILLE— After having its scheduled home matches postponed by last Wednesday’s two-hour early school dismissal, Jefferson traveled to Hedgesville without six of its front-line wrestlers and dropped a 65-14 decision to the then-homestanding Eagles and a 59-18 decision to Musselman.
Keynan Williams at 182 pounds and Lane Harder at 220 pounds each posted 2-0 records in their individual matches. Williams moved his career win total to 103 after surpassing the 100-win level when he was the runner-up in his bracket at the Potomac Valley Conference tournament.
Missing from the Cougar list of participants were Shane Moore, John Bryant, Wyatt Phillips, Dante McCarroll, Warren Gray, and Nick Grayeff. Next for the still healthy Cougars is this week’s Regional tournament.
