Williams, Moore give Jefferson wrestling success

KINGWOOD— Over the weekend at the Preston Duals wrestling meet held at Preston High School, several Jefferson High wrestlers accomplished some important milestones.

Keynan Williams had wins over Martinsburg’s Fanning and Preston’s 182-pound wrestler ro get his 100th career win.

Williams was able to pin Fanning. Over the past weekend, he recorded his 30th pin of the 2011-12 season to break a Jefferson High single season record.

Shane Moore, a junior, was able to finish with a 6-0 record in matches at 152-pounds. Sophomore Wyatt Phillips was unbeaten at 106-pounds. Brandon Pelphrey also had an unbeaten weekend for the Cougars.
