Summit Point/Cal Ripken League registrations

The Summit Point/Cal Ripken Baseball and Softball League registrations continue this weekend at the South Jefferson Elementary School and the Ranson Civic Center. The baseball division has five different leagues including T-Ball (ages 4-6), Rookie (ages 6-8), Cal Ripken Minor (ages 9-10), Cal Ripken Major (ages 11-12), Junior League (ages 13-16).

The softball division has four different leagues including Rookie 8U (girls ages 6-8), Fast Pitch 10U (ages 9-10), Fast Pitch 12U (ages 11-12), and Fast Pitch 16U (ages 13-16).

Players registering don’t need to bring a birth certificate unless they are new to the league. Any child living in the state of West Virginia is eligible to participate. Registration on Feb. 4 takes place from 9 a.m.-12 noon at the South Jefferson Elementary School and the Feb. 5 registration is from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at the Ranson Civic Center.

The Feb. 11 registration id from 9 a.m.-12 noon at South Jefferson Elementary and the Feb. 12 registration is from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Ranson Civic Center. The Feb. 18 registration id from 9 a.m.-12 noon at the South Jefferson Elementary and the Febn. 19 registration is from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Ranson Civic Center. A Feb. 25 registration will be held from 9 a.m.-12 noon at South Jefferson Elementary and a Mar. 3 registration takes place from 9 a.m.-12 noon at South Jefferson Elementary.

A $10 discount will be given for any registrations on the weekends of Feb. 4-5 and Feb. 11-12. The costs through FGeb. 12 are $65 for the first child, $55 for the second child, and $45 for the third child.

Tryout are scheduled for March 10-11 at the Ranson Civic Center. Tryout times have not been announced as yet. The league’s website is http://summitpointbaseball.baberuthonlin.
