Sons of the American Revolution welcome new members

The General Adam Stephen Chapter, National Society, Sons of the American Revolution, held its winter meeting at the Purple Iris in Martinsburg on Jan. 20, 2012. Speaker for the evening was Compatriot Martin Keesecker, who came dressed in full Revolutionary War Uniform and assumed the character of an aide to General Adam Stephen. Keesecker discussed the General’s service to his country before, during and after the Revolutionary War. General Adam Stephen was the founder of Martinsburg and is the namesake of the local SAR Chapter.

During the meeting two new members, Eric S. Jenkins of Harpers Ferry and Donn E. Marshall of Shepherdstown, were welcomed to the chapter.  Both received membership certificates and rosettes.
