The University of Maryland signed 24 football prospects in Coach Randy Edsall’s first-ever, full-time recruiting class. Edsall wasn’t able to spend the normal time on recruiting last year when he took over from Ralph Friedgen in the spring after the 2011 signing period had ended in February.
